Spontaneous plan change — Bangkok, Thailand
A chance meeting with some fellow travelers in a departure lounge influenced us into adding Laos to our trip. We had previously pondered on whether to add Laos into our busy agenda but had decided against it, as it was 700 km in the wrong direction. However, the first hand recommendation from some seasoned travelers along with their photos convinced us enough to book the over night sleeper train and head up to the border.
Depart Bangkok 2000 hrs on sleeper train armed with plenty of water and some goodies.
